GoPro Hero4 Session

I have been sourcing for a in car camera for a while although my current one is still working. It is a low cost no brand camera which works ok. Once in a while, it can become buggy and I have to redo the settings.

So I decided to get a better one for standby. There are many good in car camera out there, but I am kinda looking for something that can be put in the car and to be able to bring outdoors if there is a need. After researching, I came across GoPro Hero4 Session which was released last year. It is a cube like action camera. But the price was pretty steep (top up a bit more you can get the silver version).

I am not really into the other variants as it seems to bulky in a way to me (although it is pretty small). And after a couple of months it has a pretty drastic price drop, I guess it is to differentiate the models due to their respective specifications.

After the price drop, it seems more reasonable. Locally, there is a motor show and they have promotion which includes a free 32GB microSD card. Total it will be 300SGD. Otherwise, it will just only be the camera itself.

As for the reviews on its image quality etc...it can be found on youtube and websites. Some say it not bad, some says it not good. Depending on your requirements, it may or may not be suitable. For me, it suits my application well. Unlike their original design, many settings has to done via the free app or the optional remote control.

Thule Gauntlet 3.0 15" Macbook Attache

Recently, I had the urge to buy a laptop bag for my old 2011 Macbook Pro after doing some hardware upgrade on it. And I am looking for a more special kind of hand carry bag rather than those typical laptop bag.

Also, it must be the kind of simple hard-case type and similar to a briefcase (weird preference) and open fully like a luggage if possible. After searching for some time, I came across this Thule Gauntlet 3.0 semi-hard case briefcase type of laptop bag. It also seems to withstand a certain degree of shock and the design is pretty modern to me (not those typical leather type of uncle briefcase).

They do have re-seller locally and I managed to find it. It cost $126 locally. Here are the pictures:

Pockets for misc stuff
Mini Review: The feel of the protective shell has a rubberized feel. And it seems to be able to absorb some sort of impact. It can't open up to 180 degrees. It also has the pockets to store some documents, charger or maybe even a jacket if folded nicely.

Holiday Inn Kemayoran

Recently, I had a business trip to Indonesia and I stayed in Holiday Inn booked by my colleague. From first impression, it looks like a new hotel to me and all the facilities is pretty new and clean which is important to me. I stayed in a Junior suite which has a mini hall, 1 bedroom and 2 toilets.

For surrounding facilities, it has a small shopping mall behind the hotel and can be accessed conveniently via the link way at the lobby area. It is basically a food mall with 80% selling different foods from local to international cuisines. Most of them are cafe concept stalls and the pricing is only slightly cheaper compared to my country.

Overall, it is a pleasant stay to me. Here are the pics:
