Beijing trip 2012

Been a bit lazy lately but it has been a while since I update my blog. I am going there for an exhibition with my company. However this time, I finally get to visit the Great Wall of China during the R&R day. It is one of the amazing wonders in the world.

The hotel we stayed in is pretty good, it has almost all basic amenities you need like toothbrush etc. Overall, I have pretty good impression of the hotel. Its name is CNCC grand hotel and located just beside the convention hall which makes it very convenient. Below is some pics of the room:

For the R&R day, we went to the Great Wall as mentioned. I am amazed by what I see, can't imagine how many manpower is needed to built such a long structure. The area we went to is located in the mountainous region of Beijing.

Do note that there are also other Great Wall sites located in other parts of China. The trip to Great Wall took about an hour plus from our hotel (almost smooth traffic) by car. But if there is a traffic jam, it will be even longer. Below is some pics I took:

And some of the nice food we had eaten during the week. Below is some of the pics:

To sum it up, I enjoyed the Great Wall although the air is really dry in Beijing (maybe because the winter ended not long ago). Not really used to it since I lived in a humid region. Maybe next time, we will visit the other popular tourist sites.

Amari Watergate hotel Bangkok

Been a while since I update my blog since there is nothing much to write about. As I went for a short business trip recently and stayed in this hotel. It is a 5* hotel locally and located opposite Platinum Mall, it has a very good location and the room is pretty big I would say. Nearby has more shopping malls within walking distance. Below are some pics of the room.

For internet users, the lobby network can be used for free but you need to get a log in details from the counter though. If you want to use it in your room, you have a buy package to use it. Varies from 100+ to 1000+ Thai baht depending on the package. Overall, the hotel is clean and comfortable.
